Gutter Language--It's Expression

The N-word is being looked at and viewed negatively by those of adult ages verses those in the hip-hop era and youth. An airing on Hannidy and Colmes, a black male used the N-word over and over to describe the context of its usage. In a way, he felt at ease being able to use it when a white commentator asked him why he could use it and others couldn't. Anyway, there really was no justifying his answer using terms like 'oppressors,' etc giving excuses why the white male couldn't and he could because he is black. So, does that make it all right to use the N-word because you are Black?

I have asked youths why they use the N-word? I was told because it is an expression that relate to a kinship. You know like we are cool-what's up my n-word. I will not use the term myself even in descriptive writing. I don't feel the need to use it nor promote the usage on any term because it isn't alright. Okay, you have those who will say that the word is in the dictionary and someone told me in the bible. I have sense enough to know the interpretations means less than the meaning in context to a Black human being.

Back in the day, Black was not considered but less than a human being. There was a time animals, dogs, had more rights than Blacks. We don't have to regurgitate that, what is at question now is, why do Blacks use the term so freely? Not only that, why do the parents allow it and do not stand up against it?

The rap music is the excuse used for it. After all, many of the rappers use curse words and the N-word and are making millions because of it and the beats. For the most part, some of the beats are good beats that would entice you to dance, but some of the lyrics will hurt the ears. But, worst than that, are brainwashing the youths to participate in the oppression and genociding of our culture, dignity, morals and pride.

Many are selling us out by the boatload. And, the more that we allow these things to be bigger than us because our stomach are hurting a little, and we don't like to suffer a little and we want to be apart of something still, so we crawl through a space allow for the release of pain and art and music turned upside down to become the popular tune that pit food on our dinner table, influencing the adults to turn an ear and participate in the justification of negative expression parlayed with art deemed okay, is insane.

What we have now is young men killing each other because they act out on what they hear, say and see. What we have allowed to be created are walking time bombs within our communities because they have no respect for life. They have no respect for others. Because they are allowed to get away with what they say and do because parents are afraid to check their children and their children lose respect for the parent or parents and bring in the money the parent lack bring and you have a shift in household and roles in the household.

The N-word plays its part. Justifying the reason for usage for a kinship. Heck, the word is used in hatred as well. The N-word are used in gangsta rap and is now being used by people of color including young Asian Americans who are trying to fit into a culture being cool. The N-word can be masked all you want it to be to justify you not speaking up.

We are not living in the 1800's, but I tell you we are living in the Wild Wild West. And, those who sell us out and then after reaping their riches want to come into our communities doing publicity stunts like get out and vote and make a difference after you sold a multiplatinum cd, sending the themes and planting seeds about pimping, playing, laying, getting your sex on, putting slugs into someone brains and cracking their chest plate, is very hypocritical. You are a sell out.

Now they are millionaires off your ignorance. Now they are millionaires and they are in so deep that they got to keep sending these messages that are genociding our people by the masses into incarcerations and graves because they have to maintain the lifestyle and contracts that they signed up for to continue the work of the hidden slave masters who gave them the airplay.

The N-word. I see men incarcerated on weekly bases. I will tell you that I see youngsters with mouth full of gold and platinum that knows the rappers lyrics word by word and some can rap themselves and own no property. These boys and men do not know anything about stock or the stock market. These boys and men have never been to Hawaii or abroad. These boys and men wear and attempt to immolate the rappers that they see and some R&B entertainers and sport entertainer as well.

Rick James was the talk of the week about how he called a female at the BET Awards the B-word. Rick James should be glad that he was asked to even be there. And, look how he sold out his culture and social model improper behavior because of his inflated ego. It's sad to say that we are going backwards.

What other culture calls and make millions off disrespecting their women to the universe than Black people? I said to a group inside the county jail, "who taught you to disrespect your women? You disrespect them and enjoy songs about multiple sexing them and the moment someone approach your woman you are ready to kill them. Some of you may be incarcerated now in defense of your pride for your woman than for the love of your woman because if you love your woman you would not allow or perpetrate the hatred toward your women who are your mothers, sisters, nieces, aunts, cousins and your friends mother, sisters, nieces, aunts, cousins, etc. Who taught you this and why are your accepting this?"

Just like Harriet Tubman said, "I have freed thousands of slaves and could have freed thousand more had they known they were slaves." Many are walking around here not giving a penny about their freedom, morals, values or the value of life itself. Killings are occurring everyday and now our children are desensitize to it. It's an everyday thing like listening about it on a cd that they listen to on a daily basis. It starts with allowing one thing to become justified and next thing you know the limit stretches until there is no limits. Like Master P "No Limit Soldiers." I said to those boys to men incarcerated, "You learned to hate yourself and hate your folks but how many of you would be quick to go to Iraq and fight, shoot and kill? How many of you would be hollering mama within ten seconds that are so called street gangsters? You have been tricked and conditioned and you are right where the plan for you to be-be. You bought into what success is suppose to look like. You allowed others to plan your life through your behaviors. You were conditioned and is where you were destine to be for those of you who bite into the genociding of your people selling drugs as an excuse to make money and watch those videos and lifestyle of rich and famous to dictate to you how you should live without showing you the steps to make it like they did."

But, when do we decipher the love for money and the love for life? When do we stop selling out for a few dollars? Look back as far as Julia for you older folk from the seventies. Julia, a black middle class nurse, single parent raising her son. Black were quick to jump up for joy when Diane Carroll played this television role. Black were making it boy. Yeah!

Blacks were being conditioned then that single parenting was alright. Women movements that they can do with or without a man. They can tackle anything a man can. Conditioning and laying the bricks to where we are at today. With millions of single parent households but someone forgot to say that a boy needs a father in their lives to teach them how to be a boy and a man. Someone forgot to say that a father is needed in his daughter life to become her first date and open the door for her and be mannerable and treat her special and if a boy that comes her way cannot conduct himself in a mannerable way, do not get involve with him-teaching her warning signs of what to look for in losers.

So, we have children raising children. We have more hatred. We have more self-hatred. We act the N-word because we feel the N-word. The acting out of the N-word happens no matter how one try to justify it and make it culturally correct. For those who do you are no better than the slave master such as the myth of Willie Lynch who said, paraphrasing, pit the light skinned black vs the dark skinned black and the male vs the female. Masking the N-words says, trick yourself into a false status because you still are what you are, but here is a few more dollars so you can show the world who and what you are.

Go head with a mouth full of metal and drive the finest cars while you are still a renter. Go ahead and wear your pants down past your butt so we can see the color of your underwear with thousand dollar watches on or better yet knock off watches for those of you who cant afford the real ones and walk in bunches, so we can laugh at you while we drive past you while you are walking spending your only income on the cd's of those you immolate priming you up to line up the prisons where you will become a legal slave. Go ahead and master the new terminology of the N-word.

Go ahead and defend the N-word you educated house Negroes who are setting the rest up to follow the lead while you too are being paid to or given free air time to project this foolish. It is so foolish that some White Americans are even saying, "What the Heck?" Keep defending the sense of your interpretation of what the N-word truly means. I can only pray for you, write to you and even in public talk with you and to you because you have been trick, deceived, hoodwinked and bamboozled, taken from Malcolm X.

There is no justifying ignorance. It's gutter language used by those who cannot think of a proper word to use. The N-WORD is not an expression. How could it be, when one cannot even use it in the prison system for fear of retribution. Even in the institutions, where criminals are housed, in the prisons, they cannot use the N-word. But, on our streets and in these songs, in movies and on television the Blacks think they now have the right to use a word that many of their ancestors died from because they were called the N-word.

We have to educate each other. We have to look out for each other. We have to start loving each other. We have to start loving ourselves. We have to quit trying to live up to the major percenters (filthy rich) who market us and keep us enslaved mentally until we enslave ourselves physically trying to live up to the restructuring of a mainstream entertainment belief system.

If you love me express it differently, I'm not from the Pepsi Generation. The N-word was and always will be what it is-ignorance mixed with hatred. Just because you are Black does not give you the right to call me a N-word because I am Black.
