The Stoke Report

Just a Thought:
Maybe we need to look at our system

Do we have a political system that has outgrown its usefulness? To continue following our Constitution and Declaration of Independence, as we begin a new more enlightened millennium, we need to look at our policies, documents, and social practices to see if they are germane to today's more complex needs.

For example; "All Men are Created Equal". Should this be “All people are created equal”? "We The People of the United States"...establish a government of the people, by the people, for the people." But...The Electoral College decides the vote in spite of the people's vote. Do we still need both with current electronic high tech tabulating? Are the machines infallible?

The Supreme Court rules, but it is partisan--members are chosen by the ruling party's president, not the people. Their position of neutrality has been compromised. Members owe their allegiance to their own party's deeply ingrained belief and assumption system about those who are "different".

Although we are 'One Nation Under God", Prayers to that One God are not allowed in our Educational System. Children are intimidated and indoctrinated to "do as they are told". A women's family work is not considered "work" to be equally valued with education and pay. This is her "duty" to her nation.

Heart and feelings are seen as feminine prerogatives, unessential to our "practical rule" which can be scientifically validated. Deviations from the "norm" are pathologized and stigmatized. Angry reactions are denigrated or criminalized.

Our educational system reinforces custom and virtually eliminates those who dare to be outside of the ruling "majority-race mind-set"

This system promotes survival of those who “fit"..."Fit or Fall" A military system protects these privileges of the majority and money.

Religions protect their traditional practices in closed enclaves. Some, deeply connected spiritually, educate wisely, to procreate a more enlightened future and harmony.

As humans, our species has grown from tribal rule, to kingdom rule, to emperor rule, to presidential rule, to lawyer rule. Now, through media interpretations, the media is the message! (Mess Age). Technology is creating chaos with unlimited choices for those who have access to it.

We are mandated to do as we are legalized to do, and told to do. We are pressured and marketed by corporate money to do as we are paid to do. Those people who are educated and employed, learn to understand how to vote to protect their interests, and get control of the system. Policy supports economic growth, not human growth. We are valued by what we earn, not by our character and wisdom. Those who are uneducated in the mainstream system, are intimidated from voting, or do not vote at all out of fear of the consequences. Some see no personal benefit to them at all for this effort. The anomaly is simply ignored. This part of American Humans simply do not "understand", as they "stand under" majority control and influence, and deeply resent many generations of being "dissed" (disrespected), or pitied.

Do we need a more egalitarian approach to interpreting our Laws? Do we need an Independent category, non-partisan, that doesn't feel obligated to follow party loyalty? Can we evolve beyond competition and conflict? Can we develop a new balance of mutual collaboration and harmony? Is this a wake-up call to human consciousness? Do we dare let our deep Consciousness and conscience be our guide? Is America a role model for decency?

Nature has its higher answers to emulate, if we allow ourselves to see them and understand. What would happen if the planets competed with each other instead of flowing in harmony and balance? Where would earth be in the process?

Where are we in Nature's process? []
