“I get high as I could cause if you see things the way I see things, I’m a die in the hood…I get high, high, high, every day, every night…” Styles A rapper called "Styles" from his latest single, Goodtime, wrote the above line. He is an 18-year old African American male. Some African Americans are participating in the plans of the oppressors, and by doing so, are becoming the oppressors. In this day and age, racism in some forms is invisible to the naked eye. Means are taken to carry out the slave master's task by allowing some of our people to become the slave makers, just as it was hundreds of years ago, but with a twist. In today’s world, we have Blacks killing Blacks, Blacks selling out Blacks, Blacks getting rich off and degrading their own people, Blacks accepting slave terms such as “nigga,” and, what is worst, some of the Black females accept the term “bitch.” Specifically many who are into the hip-hop culture. The
saga continues and the slave makers are a social issue. These slave makers
are the radio stations, the radio personalities, and the rappers, who
transmit the vile messages to our youths.
Such
local radio Stations as 98.1 heard in Northern California play oldie
but goodies, with DJ’s such as Tom Joyner and Renal are not listened
to by the youths, because hip-hop is their flavor. The hip-hop radio stations,
like KMEL and others, across the country do not seem to care what the
content of a CD is, as long as the record gets the air play, and the callers
keep calling in to hear it. Some
of these radio personalities are disgusting to listen to. From early in
the morning to late at night, many of these so-called personalities do
skits, jokes, and conversations about sex, as they feed the young consciences
with useless clatter, altering their behavior of the vulnerable. These
personalities are nothing but slave makers, selling out our youths for
paychecks. Consciously and subconsciously, some teenagers and adults pick up on the delusions. The radio stations are promoting rappers and building them up to be great. Where does responsibility lies about, what is being fed to our young populations? All
rappers do not create rhymes about crimes, sex, and drugs. But the CD’s
that are played on these hip hop stations are endorsed by the promotional
department heads of radio stations and you can bet they are not owned
by Blacks, not even BET (Black Entertainment Television) is owned by Blacks
anymore. Yet, most of the personalities are Black; they are what I call
slave makers. Most
rappers and so-called gangsta rappers are also slave makers. When you
have irresponsible youths rapping about getting high every day and every
night as a method for coping, the wrong messages are being sent to our
Black youths. The entertainment industry needs to be addressed. The powers
that be and the radio personalities are the problem. They are slave makers
to the vilest forms and are swaying our youths into a life of crime, mischief,
and validating the behaviors of some of these rappers. JA Rule, a Black rapper from Murder Inc recording label, sends out messages degrading the Black female. To make matters worse, some of the Black females accept the term, because in today’s times, the word “bitch” is supposed to mean something different than its standard definition. Bull! But, as long as the radio stations play these vulgar messages, as long as video stations like BET play a video, no matter how many beeps you hear, the youths will go out and buy the CD without the beeps. JA
Rule raps about, “I need a down ass bitch…” and what is scary is that
there is a chorus where the Black female sings, “I’m your Bitch.” These
are African American youths and adults feeding into a slave mentality
and rectifying it while dehumanizing some of our Black population. A
Black rapper by the name of Too Short, is a multi-millionaire and famous
for calling the Black female “Bitch.” Who do you think made him rich?
Our young Black culture is supporting him and these artists. The Black
culture is the only culture that downright degrades, disrespect, and sexually
exploits our Black women to the fullest and feel nothing about it, because
their slave masters are intelligent enough to know that if they allow
us to do their work for them, their hands are clean of blame. So, the
artists get millions and buy big houses with chinchilla bedspreads and
a mouth full of platinum, living large and destroying our youths in the
process. The
lyrics of some of these rappers are genocidal to our youths, songs of
hate, killing, hating their mamas, sex, shared sex, sex with another man’s
wife, etc., all getting air play by hip-hop stations; all getting promotion
by radio personalities, while brainwashing our youths and turning them
into slaves. This oppression of our people has got to stop! These senseless radio stations, personalities and artists are participating in the deterioration of the African American family. Why
are those hip-hop stations playing all of these songs about getting high?
They may as well be the drug dealers themselves. Slave makers! Silly
songs made to entice our youths into the drug culture and criminal life. Busta
Rhymes, a Black rapper, made a song called, “Pass the Courvosier,” telling
our youths that alcohol is cool. I bet the liquor company that manufacture
Courvosier has had an increase in sales since that song was made popular
by the radio stations and personalities who continually play the song,
as they participate in Black destruction and making of slaves. The
new alcoholics and drug abusers, who will drop out of schools, are our
African American youths. Some
of our Black youths walk around wearing pants and shirts two to three
times their sizes. These kids walk around with their pants down pass their
butts. Some of these children's parents purchase their clothing. Many
do not. I have heard some parents say that they better not catch their
child sagging, a term used for wearing the pants down pass the waist.
This is a throw back to slavery, when slaves wore pants and shirts that
way because they had no choice, and the slave master did not trust to
give them rope to tie their pants up. Give hip-hop another notch for that
influence. Our
kids can’t go and get a job interview looking like that. I Those of you
who are sympathizers will say, “If you don’t like it, then don’t listen
to the music..” But, it is understandable because you are part of the
problem and you participate in the slave making; you also have a slave
mentality. And, since these kids can’t participate in job interviews because
some of them are too loaded to do so, how do you suppose they keep up
their habits? Crime.
And, by participating in crime, the family is broken. Morality is out
of the window. Goals are no longer sought. Ideas and dreams are stripped.
There will be more Black on Black crime. The genociding of our Black youths,
males and female, receiving a CDC number for their participation; they
will be honored by working for the second largest industry, next to agriculture,
for free (or maybe up to $1.15 per hour). That’s slavery in progress thanks
to the slave makers. Look
at the brain washing methods used by the churches (Catholics and Christians)
for centuries has done to many Blacks, by placing images of a white Jesus
up in every church. And Blacks in America, believe that Jesus was White,
and worse that God is White. The plan is to make Blacks feel inferior
to Whites. This also caused a huge psychological effect that caused Blacks
to hate themselves, degrade each other, and kill one another’s ideas,
efforts, and will to be better. You do the math. If you brainwash a culture to get high, and lose morality, what do you think you will get? You will get addicts, low self-esteem, criminals, drug dealers, sell outs, don’t give a damn attitudes, careless lifestyles, and the passing on of the slave mentality. Today,
we have a massive amount of single parents and dysfunctional families.
We have children using ecstasy (the date rape drug) influenced by rappers
such as Dr. Dre and JA Rule. The hip-hop radio stations glorify these
songs by repetitious airplay by the radio personalities—the slave makers! Those are only some of the consequences that stem from some of the songs played on these stations and reinforced by the radio personalities. Wake
up so-called artists and participate in the uplifting of our people, not
the destruction of them. You know you have an influence on our youths.
You artists should be held accountable for disregarding and disrespecting
our people. You should not be rewarded with riches for feeding our children
filth, taking away their imagination for growth, and quickly turning them
into slaves. I’m
not talking about all rappers. Open your eyes and see why you are being
paid huge amounts of money. Your messages go deeper than you thought they
would. The corporations knew the effects on a people. You are participating
in the oppression of our people, and most of your listeners are filling
up the jail cells of America. Did you not know that Black Americans are
more than eighty percent of the American prison system? There
are many social issues that contribute to the deterioration of the Black
family. The hip-hop culture, gangsta rap songs have major influences upon
our lower class Black youths and adults. The hip-hop gangsta rappers need
to be addressed, so that the oppressors can stop winning. We do not need
to hear songs about pimping, selling dope, committing adultery, fornication
and crimes. We do not need to hear songs about hating, glorifying alcohol,
drugs, and violence. The
corporations, record labels, radio stations, video cable stations, radio
stations, and personalities that support this garbage are products of
the slave masters, and are sell outs of the progress of Black America.
You are indeed the slave makers! Immorality
is widely accepted today, thanks to mainstream America. Some of our Black
Americans are continuing to feed into delusions, forgetting, truly the
reasoning our ancestors sacrificed their lives. Where is the dignity,
the honor, and the respect for self? End self-slavery by looking at the
man or woman in the mirror.
