Midnight Scoundrels On BET
A few nights ago I was looking at
the various ministers and ministries on TV to see what they were
doing and if they were teaching or preaching the word of God. My
overall impression was that the vast majority of these ministers are
outright
crooks. The late night TV ministers on such stations as BET and the
Christian Broadcasting networks are given over to the love of money. In the USA, there is a rampant spirit, culture, and plague of love of money preachers who have not been sent from God, who do not now or have ever known God, and/or who were, maybe, once true ministers, but are now backslidden from the faith, their consciences are seared with, as it were, a hot iron, yet they stay in their positions in the church and are using those positions to secure all the money they can in the name of God. This is tragic because the poor people they reach are weak and unlearned in the faith! The Apostle Paul warned Titus and
Timothy against this love of money spirit that is so afoot in many US
ministers. Many of these ministers have coined and teach a Gospel
of Wealth in which they become wealthy first, primarily, and
mostly. And that is done by naïve Christians sending, giving, and
heaping upon ungodly men parcels and throngs of money in the name of
God. This old money seduction is older
than Rev. Ike, who, by the way, is still around receiving anyone s
money who is uniformed enough to send it to him. But although Ike
made little bones about his seduction and what he was and probably
still is doing with the money sent to him, his fraud is miniscule compared to the colossus fraud that is being perpetrated against
Christian people by many of today s USA ministers in the name of God. Turn on TV or radio nowadays and hear and see the current crop of ministers. Money is their theme, their passion, their every-pronouncement; whether they seduce the money from the people through false prophesies, supposed healings and miracles, or just outright vulgarities of ignorance, these ministers are all over such stations like BET--a black audience station. Their robbery is open before our very eyes. One man who calls himself Prophet Jordan--a young man with dreadlocks and a speaker on his face, opens his Bible to Malachi 3:7, and deduces from that that God wants his viewers to send him a $37 faith offering---Malachi 3:7= $37.00; how creative! Do people actually fall for this type of scam? Seemingly so. Another young preacher has his wife with him and seemingly they have people they have already tutored to call in and tell of their miracles. This is very messy when the minister coaches the woman for all sighted persons to see that this is being staged. And anyone who has seen Robert Tilton can see that this minister and wife have been greatly influenced by Tilton, a known scalawag! His mannerisms and words are almost identical to Tilton. Robert Tilton is a white minister who has been run out of several states and gotten into trouble with the authorities for his open fraud. He would ask for the people to send him money along with their prayer requests; the requests would be put in the trash, never prayed over, and the money went into his established bank account, but used strangely. Anyone can go online and see his many problems with the law, his marriages, and the $2million home he is building on a waterfront lot in Florida. Seemingly, everyone knows he is a crook, but BET and those who send him money. His BET broadcasts are previous taped and old broadcasts along with a few new ones. He talks and sells a very small book (really a pamphlet) for some price. And after he talks, he may stop, speak in tongues, and declare that someone has just been healed or blessed in some special way; he will even weep and declare that God is moving on someone to pledge $1000. Why are there so many late night crocks and scoundrels on BET? Robert Johnson has sold the station, but when he owned it, Robert Tilton was on it. Now, however, there seems to be many more scoundrels such as Robert Tilton than ever before. Simond Griote
