NFL Head Coaching Turnover
in 2011-2012 Pink slips will be handed out on January 2,
2012.

There are ten National Football League (NFL) coaches that should start looking over their shoulders. They should also start thinking about packing their bags for another city and another job.
There is an era of WIN NOW attitude in the NFL and we all know what the NFL means "Not For Long" as former head coach Jerry Gladvile would state many times from the Atlanta Falcon sidelines in the 1990’s.
This could be a disastrous year for African-American head coaches if their teams do not win the last game of the season. Only the Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin and Marvin Lewis of the Cincinnati Bengals are safe.
The Oakland Raiders Hue Jackson will be looking for help this weekend from fellow brother Romeo Crennel to advance to AFC West Title. The Oakland Raiders must put meaning into the motto "Pride and Poise" and "Commitment to Excellence". Discipline needs to be restored to The Black and Silver. If the Raiders lose Sunday against the San Diego Chargers, Jackson job could be in jeopardy.
Lovie Smith and the Chicago Bears only needed to win two games to enter NFC playoffs. The Bears did not pick up free agent and veteran Donavan McNabb to win two games out of five. As a result The Bears will be sitting home watching the playoffs and Coach Smith could be out of a job.
Many are left scratching their heads when it comes to the complete collapse of the Indianapolis Colts. Two years ago they were 14-2! The Colts reverse their roles in 2011 without their star quarterback Payton Manning. It could mean the end of head coach Jim Caldwell with their current 2-14 record. The Colts management should be blamed for this sorry episode in Naptown. Not having a decent backup quarterback just in case Manning went down with injury. Then Colts have paid the price and now Caldwell could lose his job.
Leslie Frazier and the Minnesota Vikings executive office need only to look in the mirror at their demise. It’s been a complete three year oddity in feeble football. It started with the on again off again relationship with Brett Farve. It continued with the releasing of two quarterbacks Traveres Jackson and Donavan McNabb. That was the complete undoing of the purple and gold. The team spiraled out of control the rest of the season. Frazier could be losing his job January 2.
The fate of Tom Coughlin (Giants) and Jason Garrett (Cowboys) will rest on the season-ending match between the New York Football Giants and the Dallas Cowboys. They visit the cold New Jersey Meadowlands. Both teams have underachieved the whole year and the losing coach could be getting his walking papers Jan 2.
The New York Jets could be parting ways with Rex Ryan because Gang Green is not responding to his leadership or lack of leadership. Throwing the football 60 times will not make a winning team. Mark Sanchez has been asked to do more then he can behind center. There is also a lack of leadership. The Jets defense has not been up to standard and teams have exposed this weakness. The Green and White might be heading in a new direction after January 2.
The Philadelphia Eagles and Andy Reid might be parting ways January 2. The Eagles started out hot and it lasted as long as Michael Vick stayed healthy. Vick went down in game five and the Eagles spiraled out of control losing four games in a row dropping them out of the NFC East race. The Philadelphia defense could not hold a cup of tea let alone offensive linemen. The Eagles and Vick dumped the Dallas Cowboys last week 20-7 showing signs that they were the team to be feared in the east-next season. The question remains will the Eagle management give Reid another chance?
The Chargers, Buccaneers, and Rams are just plain awful and need no explanation. (Names in bold lettering denotes African American coaches in limbo) Three teams have already started the transformation Jacksonville Jaguars – interim coach Mel Tucker Kansas City Chiefs- interim coach Romeo Crennel Miami Dolphins- interim coach Todd Bowles Head Coaches in danger Chicago Bears – Lovie Smith Dallas Cowboys- Jason Garrett Indianapolis Colts- Jim Caldwell Minnesota Vikings- Leslie Frazier New York Giants –
Tom Coughlin New York Jets- Rex Ryan Philadelphia Eagles- Andy Reid San Diego Chargers- Norv Turner St. Louis Rams- Steve Spagnuolo Tampa Bay Bucs- Raheem Morris Oakland Raiders- Hue Jackson The Black Football Coaches Association might have their work cut out for them in 2012 if these changes occur
