A MEANING IN THE MESSAGE

There is a strong message given from tragedies. Americans need to take a look at it, and those abroad need to take a look at it also. All the scientists, scholars, and foreseers in the world will not agree or come up with the same conclusion of why a tragic event takes place, but one thing is for sure, everything happens for a reason.

What will the effects of this disaster reveal to those with sleepy eyes? It should become clear that human beings aught to quit playing their minds and souls. People believe in the supernatural, UFO’s, and some believe in higher powers, God, faith, and some believe in the satanic unnatural, superstitions, and Black Magic. Belief goes a long way. It is apart of our makeup, our intellect, our spirituality, our creativity, and our thought processes.

Over 150,000 people died in the tsunami from an undersea earthquake in the Indian Ocean on Sunday, December 26, 2004, when a 9.0 earthquake that rocked the Indian Ocean caused tidal waves over 20 feet high that devastated over 10 countries in Southeast Asia. Over five million are unequipped to deal with this disaster and are in need of food and medical supplies. Homelessness is a pretty word compared to what those in the United States are going through in contrast to these devastated souls: dead bodies are lying among the people and are rotting, which leaves diseases and doubles the amount of dead.

In 1991, 138,000 died in Bangladesh as a result of a cyclone (violent rotating windstorm). In 1998 a storm cause over 80,000 people to become homeless; winds were as high as 125 mph. In 1970, an estimated 300,000 people were killed by a cyclone that hit Bangladesh, known then as East Pakistan. In 1970 a cyclone was known as the deadliest tropical storm in history, but as the death toll rises in this tsunami, we will find out.

Earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, cyclones, droughts and other natural disasters have taken millions of lives. People of different faiths believe that God sends messages through these disasters. What do you think?

Some 8,000 people were killed in 1900 by a hurricane that sent 20-foot surge sweeping over Galveston Island.  In 1907, it was estimated that 24 million people died in China from drought and famine. In 1921-22, drought claimed an estimated 250,000 to 5 million lives in the Ukraine and Volga region of the Soviet Union. In 1925, the Tri-state Tornado claimed 695 lives in Missouri, Illinois and Indiana. In 1931, Yangtze River flooded China. An estimated 3.7 million killed due to flooding, disease and starvation. In 1935, The Labor Day Hurricane claimed over 400 lives along the Florida Keys. In 1938, over 600 deaths, as the result of New England Hurricane that traveled from New York to Boston. Cyclones, flooding, wind storms, and droughts claimed millions of lives in Bangladesh, Vietnam, Africa (from 1972-75, over 600,000 died from drought) Central America, Japan, Philippines, Northern Europe, Iran (In 1972 a blizzard killed 4000 people; in 1954 flood killed 10,000) Netherlands, United Kingdom and India (In 1900, up to 3 million died from drought; and from 1965-67 and estimated 1.5 million died from the same).

Is there a meaning in the message or messages? Scientists will talk about faults, atmospheric temperatures, shifts and changes; and no matter how you add this up, the thing that comes to mind when hearing different preachers preach at the churches is the following sayings: “Is your backyard cleaned up? Clean up your house! Are you prepared for the next life?” I say there is a meaning in the message from the messenger called Nature.

Throughout the earth, wars are waged, people are living in fear, mistrust, greed, anger and pride. Living in a world where mistakes are allowed to a certain extent; and man feels most powerful. Man feels so powerful that he need not to pray and has to go to court to get permission to pray in school. So powerful, man can wage wars and take another’s possession with or without explanations. Man is so powerful that he can exterminate and eradicate human beings under his dictatorship. Man is so powerful that he can see the going-on on Mars and search the galaxies, costing billions of dollars while many human beings are starving throughout the world. Is there a message?

Extremists take the word of God and wreck havoc upon others in the name of God. Gang-bangers who once felt rejections of some form or abandonment take to the streets and become terrorists within the same neighborhoods that they claim to be their blocks. Grown men becomes pedophiles and take advantage of children, meanwhile children are killing their parents. Diseases are created, injected and targeted by mad scientists. The cures are kept secret while the pharmaceutical companies are making millions off drugs that are not FDA approved with side effects that causes depression, addictions, bleedings, nausea, heart attacks and strokes. A pair of tennis shoes-sneakers-gym-shoes cost over $150.00, and this is the norm of capitalism? There is a great message sent with every disaster.

If our nation could pray during 9-11, then we should be able to pray as a nation for all who suffers, and we should be ready to aid those who are unable to care for themselves without manipulations and/or strings attached. Albeit, there are those who are setting up dummy non-profits to take advantage of monies needed for Southeast Asia, I’ll bet ya.

There are very strong messages from the result of tragedies. Americans, for sure, need to take a look at itself, as well as those abroad. All the scientists, scholars, and foreseers in the world will not agree or come up with the same conclusion to why a tragic event takes place, but one thing is for sure—everything happens for a reason.
