Ms. Roberta McClure died last November. While going through her hope chest, an administrator found a carefully wrapped satin-edged lace blanket that contained a dead baby that was over 50-years old.

Ms. McClure died at 78-years old and without ever having been married but with a secret she kept buried in her chest. DNA tests have showed that the child was Roberta McClure's. She had been a single, quiet loner, venturing out only to buy groceries and to an occasional trip to Broadway.

Her family said that she had almost no social life, but stayed home with her cats. They also stated that they were stunned as they tried to make sense of this situation. "It's despicable and disgraceful; what she did is incomprehensible. We had no idea about this horror." Her great-nephew Doug Senn, told the New York Post.

Sometimes things may not be what they appear to be; we think people are one way, but when looking more carefully they may be something quite different.
