From Office to Prison:
Three Strikes

If the Government were "for and by the people" that would mean we could use laws to persecute our political officials, right?  Well, in the last month or so mayors who are Democrats have collectively stacked up three strikes from the people who put them in office.  These are only three latest cases of three mayors who are Democrats that the people should and are throwing the book at:

1)      Bill White, (D) Mayor of Houston TX. is trying to evict people with developmental disabilities from a center although the center has a 99 year lease.  In one article the Mayor was quoted by saying, the non-profit board members must pay rent that is more in line with the land s market value if the want to remain there. Rumors are that the center is on land that city developers are licking their chops for.  Hold on to your hats cause sources also mentioned that another agency serving youth and young adults who are deaf is in the same location that developers and the Mayor have their eyes on too, the Center for Hearing and Speech. The building sits on a prime 3-acre tract at the corner of West Dallas and Shepherd.

2)      Bayview residents of San Francisco does the above story sound familiar with Mayor Gavin Newson, Democrat plans for a parking lock smack damp in the middle of  low income housing complex? Once again people of color and with disabilities are in the same boat in different states under Democrat leadership!

3)      Last but not least in the same month of, March and April, African Americans were called all kinds of racist and discriminating names from a radio DJ and yes a Mayor but also the media and a Mayor continue to use out-of-date and offensive terms like retarded to refer to people with developmental disabilities.

The latest verbal abuse came from Mayor Kenneth Westcott (D) of Washington County of PA, in  which he used the R-word, Retarded to refer to an action of a group of African Americans who were voicing their opinion at a zoning hearing about a group home for pregnant teens. Next to one speaker's name the Mayor wrote: "Retarded."  Mayor Westcott tried to clean up his remark this way.  One newspaper stated that Mr. Westcott said the stinging comments in the note were not meant as personal attacks on residents but as a criticism of the views they expressed.  When are people, media and others that the term retarded is offensive in any context!  Can we, the public lock these three democrats up?  I read that in Texas the state in building prisons for inmates with disabilities how about using these costly prisons for the real three strikes offenders!    How can I pull that lever for anyone in both parties when the Republicans and Democrats consistently let us know how much the care about the African and disabled communities!
