Down-Low Blacks giving AIDS to Black females

A local San Francisco newspaper published an article on bisexual men who are secretly bisexual and passing AIDS onto Black females. This subject has been much in play since
it was talked about nationally on talk shows and Black magazines.

The DL is not new; nor is it peculiar to Blacks. White bisexual and gay men have been going with men and women for a long time, and so have Black bisexual and gay men been doing the same. It is probably not a new phenomena, just newly publicized.

This situation may be more frequent in the Black community than it is in the white community for two reasons. First, the Black community has a greater phobia about homosexuality than other communities, except, possibly the Mexican-American community. Still, there are many men who have been in marriages with women and secretly going with men.

Second, since AIDS has taken up long-terms residence in the lower end of the Black community because many Black males have been locked away in prison, and while there, they became infected with AIDS. Then they return back into the community with a sexual propensity for men and women--men, because they acquired that prison taste for men, and women, because of their long absence from them.

Yet, there are those who have never gone to prison, but they have taken the lead from white gays and want to experience both men and women, while posing as straight. These men present serious problems in spreading AIDS to Black women who assume they have straight men they are engaging in sex with.
