Towards Healthy Change

Our collective past worked to create the history we have experienced, studied, and reported. Competition, conflicts, envy, and hostilities, on so many levels between the divisions of our two party political system need to be questioned.
 

If you choose to be with those in power, the winners, the popular, the wealthy, etc., then I understand your choice. However, if you want to become part of making a healthy difference in the wellbeing of our society, then you need to risk a different set of choices. 

There are many citizens who have chosen to be independent voters. These are people who choose our United States’ focus on continuing to create a nation based on "forming a more perfect union." First, we need the courage to change our attitudes and practices that "put down" and "discriminate" among our own citizens, based on appearance. We need the humility to acknowledge, then redeem the negative mistakes of the past. We need to again become a national model for more humane treatment of others. We need to focus more on family and less on money. We need to create independent leaders who want to support peace, harmony, and mutually shared benefits. We need to overcome the need for rule by power, greed, and the fear of force. 

Just imagine what could change if marital partners shared power, responsibility, and mutual respect for their qualities and differences. "Be a Man" and also "Be a Woman" would take on new meanings. When we begin to remedy our own shortcomings, we will grow towards again becoming accepted by other nations as models of human evolution, and we can move farther away from the animal kingdom. 

Can we start by improving the status of women? Some women are independent thinkers, not just followers of a fading past. We can change! We can help future generations see a more hopeful, and more balanced future.
