Census Statistics for Five
Bay Area Counties:
Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San
Francisco, and San Mateo Counties
There
are interesting things about the Census statistics. The actual US population
counted is 289,421,906; California’s population is 35,871,648; Alameda county has a population
of 1,543,741.
In Alameda County Blacks are 14.9%of the population, Hispanics
are 18.97%, Asians are 20.45%,
and Whites are 48%.
In
Contra Costa County, the population is 948,816.
Blacks are 9.36%, Hispanics 17.68%, Asians10.96%, and Whites 65.5%.
In San Francisco County,
the population has remained relatively static since the last census count.
The total population is 776,733, with a mere 7.29% increase. Blacks comprise
a mere 7.74%, Hispanics 14.1%, and Asians a whopping 30.84%, and Whites
49.66%.
Marin County has a
total population of 247,289. It
has a Black population of 2.8%, Hispanics 11.06%, Asians 4.5%, and Whites
at 84%.
San
Mateo County
has a population of 707,161; Blacks are 3.5% , Hispanics are 21.8%, Asians
20%, and Whites at 59.49%
