Can this man ever tell the truth?

Getting George Bush to speak the truth to the American people seems to be a major task. This administration has assumed that it can say just about anything to this nation and get away with it.

They lied and continue to lie about WMDs in Iraq about Iraq being a threat to this nation, about terrorists being in Iraq, and now their new lie--generated according to their need--is that things are in fact progressing in Iraq.

This latest lie is in the face of their own requested report that was generated by their own twisted administration. Seemingly, back in July Bush got a report he had requested about the prospects of Iraq for the future. That report was not good. Not only was it not good, its best scenario was bad.

The Bush requested projections for Iraq by their Defense Department said that at best, Iraq will never be stable and at worst, it would descend into civil war and various fiefdoms of warlords.

This is their own partisan Republican Administration telling them the truth. But does Bush come out and tell that truth to the American people? Not so. Bush has been traveling throughout the nation telling us that we are turning the corner in Vietnam, I mean, Iraq.

Even the Republican Party members are becoming disturbed with the Bush Administration's lies. Senator Lugar denounced Bush publicly, saying the "dancing in the street picture" Bush and Cheney painted was flawed and foolish. He argued that this administration needs to tell the truth to the American people. But it does not seem to be in the nature of this administration to speak the truth.

It is tragic that the Falwell crowd that calls itself the moral majority can support a man who has proved to be a consistent liar. And a vice President who curses a US Senator of the floor of the US Senate (Saying such a thing as, "You can go f..k yourself.") and instead of apologizing to the American people for such un-statesmanlike language, he says, "I felt good about it." Furthermore, in the face of overwhelming evidence by all Republican appointed committees to investigate the tragedy of Sept 11, Dick Cheney keeps repeating the same lie over and over again, as if to repeat the same lie does not, in fact, confirm that he is a liar, but, instead, establishes his lie as truth. What disrespect for the American he has!

These are the liars and vulgar human beings the moral majority supports; these are the liars that vainly use God's name to secure votes; these are the vulgar and obscene miscreants that represent this nation and that are asking this nation to vote them into office. These are the ones the moral majority supports, showing to everyone that they may be, questionably, the majority, but they are not by any Christians standard moral.

Bush and Cheney have behaved much like outlaws in these top positions in this government and do not deserve the respect that is inherent in the office. They have lied, they have used profanity, they have caused over a thousand US soldiers to die in an unnecessary war, with 7-15,000 wounded and will never be the same again, yet their own children are safe from danger and harm to engage in all types of scandalous behavior. Bush and Cheney have not really served in the military--they used every trick possible to get out of service, but they call into question the patriotism and service of others. Their actions are disgraceful and shame this nation in the eyes of the world and at home as well.

What gall does it take to be so crude and claim a sense of moral leadership anyhow? It is interesting to see if the American people will, in the face of absolute disrespect for them, vote this man and his malevolent sidekick into office after they have lied repeatedly as if lying and deceit are virtues with them.
